Shady Grove Kids
Our mission is to make Jesus first in the heart of every child and family at Shady Grove.
We provide a place where children build biblical foundations and learn about the stories, characters, and values in the bible. We actively engage children with scripture through varying learning styles, storytelling, and interactive activities.
Sundays with Kids
Check-In
For all classes and the nursery, please check your children in at the Children’s Welcome Center (under the Shady Grove Kids sign) with one of our volunteers. They will guide you and your child/ren to their class and answer any questions you might have.
Sunday School – 9:30am before service
Pre-K & Kindergarten
1st – 5th Grade
Children’s Church – during service
Nursery: 18 – 36 months
Pre-K & Kindergarten
1st – 3rd Grade
Curriculum – The Gospel Project:
From Genesis to Revelation, we celebrate the redemptive plan that unfolds throughout all Scripture. We use this curriculum within all of our classes, as it helps kids of all ages see how the whole Bible points to Jesus and the gospel.
Cry Room:
This room has a window into the service and a live audio feed. It is available for any parents with younger children that need space during the service.
More Things to Know
Safety
We aim to create a safe, healthy, and welcoming space where kids feel confident to learn and explore. All volunteers are screened, and the church follows a strict child safety policy, ensuring each room has at least two adults. Please reach out to our Children’s Director, David Lee, if you have any questions.
Allergies
Kids are given a snack and water during their time in class. If you have special dietary requirements or restrictions, please alert our staff at check-in and feel free to send an appropriate snack for your child.
Contacting Parents
Our desire is to do all we can to engage with your child and not have to contact you during a Sunday School or Service. If your child is ill, injured, crying uncontrollably for a long period of time, or has a severe disciplinary problem we will reach out through text.
Sick Child Policy
If your child has a fever or symptoms of a virus that could be contagious, please keep them with you.
