If you are interested in joining a life group that will begin in January 2023, please contact the church office. Presently, we have groups meeting on various nights of the week at different parts of Montgomery County, and even a group in Frederick County! We have started our IN-PERSON bible studies again at Shady Grove Church to study Trustworthy: Overcoming Our Greatest Struggles to Trust God, with Lysa TerKeurst. Until December 6, the Tuesday morning study meets from 9:30-noon (contact Barbara Brown). The Thursday evening study meets until December 8, 7:00-9:00pm (contact Linda Hurry). Workbooks will be available in each class. We are very excited to return to our IN-PERSON studies — to get re-connected with old & new friends and to study God’s word together. Come and be blessed!
The Afghan family we have been part of helping is in need of home furnishings. All basic donated furniture items are needed such as beds, dressers, coffee tables, couches, accent chairs, kitchen tables and chairs, etc. If you are interested in donating any furniture they might need please email the church office ([email protected]). We would like to be a blessing to these families in as many ways as possible, showing them the love of Christ.
Do you have an interest in helping the foreigner among us? Is God calling you to spread His love and word to people from other nations right here in Montgomery County? The ESL program run by Covenant Life Church is in deep need of teachers, classroom assistants, and child care providers to help with their program. Derwood, MD 20855), there is now a Check Deposit Box located outside the church office. It resembles a mail slot. This deposit box has replaced the wooden check box. Thank you!
The Technology Team is looking for volunteers ages 12 and up (both youth and adults) that have an interest in learning technology and helping others. Volunteers will help upgrade and maintain the various technology systems utilized by the church and have the opportunity to learn about a large variety of technologies, including computing systems, networking, and cloud/internet servers. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to construct an Advent wreath for your family. On Saturday, November 26, 10am-12noon, the church will be assembling wreaths with a variety of fresh greens and candles. In addition, you can bring your own fresh clipped greens to add to the wreaths. Sign up required, $12/wreath. Supplies are limited!

Calling all instrumentalists!!! It has been three years since our ensemble has played. We would love to have you join us for the ensemble where we will play during the worship service in December. Please contact Kim Baile as soon as possible.
We have a great opportunity for a short mission trip to Santa Marta, Colombia, South America from February 3 – February 10, 2023. We will be working with Calvary Reformed Church teaching about family dynamics and working with 120 kids from Sembrando Vida Foundation.
